Venham correr (ou caminhar) com o Clube do Livro!
As 6 horas da tarde, no domingo, 21 de agosto, faremos uma corrida de 5 KM no belo bairro de Riverside. A corrida termina em Riverside Park, um parque divertido que tem um playground e um lagozinho com patos. Essa corrida e perfeita para quem esta comecando a correr, e um bom aquecimento para as atletas! Trazer um piquenique para depois da corrida.

Clube do Livro is on the run!
Join us as we "Run for the Children" on Sunday night, August 21 at 6 pm. We will be running or running and walking a pretty 5 k course in Riverside, ending in Riverside Park where there is a duck pond and a playground. This is a perfect race for beginners, and a good warm up for our veterans! Bring a picnic dinner and we can hang out a little after the race.

PORTUGUESE STORYTIME
Half an hour of stories and songs in Portuguese and English for pre-school aged children, and half an hour of art on a related theme. All ages and language backgrounds are welcome.

CLUBE DO LIVRO/ PORTUGUESE BOOK CLUB
A group of Brazilian families use the production of music, theater, art and the reading of books in Portuguese to support our children's language development. Children of all ages, from babies on are welcome to attend. School aged children are strongly encouraged to participate. Group of Brazilian families who are looking for ways to encourage Portuguese language development in their children. Portuguese books are hard to come by in this country, so the group will provide Portuguese books and translations to share with the children. Since the group is trying to foster an educational climate, please leave all toys except for puzzles at home.
Portuguese speaking parents and children of all ages are invited to participate. No pre-registration is required. Meetings will be held at the Southeast Branch of the Jacksonville Public Library, in meeting room A.

Literatura Brasileira em Jacksonville, na Florida
Suzanna e Gabi fazem um trabalho cultural super bacana em Jacksonville, FL, o Portuguese Book Club. Uma das acoes eh a leitura de livros infantis em Portugues em uma biblioteca local.
A Comunidade Brasileira em Savannah e Regiao esta convidada a participar dos eventos. Jacksonville fica proximo de nos, por volta de 1h30min de Savannah. Eh uma super oportunidade para as familias manterem a nossa cultura e lingua com as criancas! Participem!!!
